5th International Encounter of “I Thirst Movement” in Fátima

Retreat with Our Lady

This summer “I Thirst Movement” members met in Fàtima, Portugal for our 5th International Encounter. It is not for an accident that we chose this holy place where the Apparitions of Our Lady took place in 1917, but with a strong intention to consecrate ourselves and the whole Movement to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the day of 13th July 2017.

Guided/accompanied by Father Peter, M.C., Spiritual Director of ITM in Europe, we started our walking pilgrimage to Fàtima from Tomar (a little Portuguese city) on 11th of July. On the way we stopped for night in Ourém. Our walking pilgrimage lasted two days, and in this time we deepened our charism, walking this way together with Our Lady, reflecting on the messages she left to the three little shepherds: Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. We got know each other better since some hardships, such as 30 km walking distance, pain in legs, calluses, saving cats, cooking on the nature, and many other things, made us a big ITM team.

Finally, on 12th of July in the late afternoon we entered Fàtima. Tired but so happy. There we spent another two beautiful days full of God’s love, in Mary’s presence, in joy and adventures. All of it you can read in personal testimonies published in this section.
